NTE Mission 2023
Following NTE (National Training Event), numerous university groups embark on short mission trips with various partner churches across Australia. My mission team consisted of an unlikely group of ADA boys and Business faculty girls, served together at Grace Anglican Church in Gledswood Hills, situated in the Western suburbs of Sydney.
We engaged in lots of door-knocking conversations to share the gospel with the community (on scorching 40 degrees Celsius days!), assisted at the church’s carol event, prepared testimonies and talks for children, honed our balloon crafting abilities, shared meals with our billeting host, and enjoyed plenty of late-night board games!
This mission trip provided an insightful glimpse into the realities of ministry in a less-resourced area of Sydney!

As part of the team, I get to help solve these problems firsthand by giving our students real-life work exposure with reputable partner organizations while also providing networking opportunities for students with industry professionals and executives, whom we call coaches.
National Service
I led a team of 42 college students to launch KAYA Project, Kaya in English meaning “I Can”. KAYA is a social enterprise that sells community-themed shirts to help sustain the livelihoods of an impoverished community in Binondo, Manila.

During my time at the organization as Finance Director, I led an initiative to send letters and perform oldies songs to the elderly of La Verna, an aged care village and nursing home for senior citizens with Alzheimer’s disease. Another project I’m very humbled to lead was a fundraiser where we raised money to purchase relief goods for affected communities that were hit by Typhoon Ulysses.
